process and product. This DSS is

management problems effectively and efficiently by:
- allowing analyses from multiple
perspectives through combining/overlaying results from different databases
and models;
- making supporting data, maps, models,
assumptions, and documentations readily accessible and understandable;
- allowing systematic, transparent, and
rapid evaluation of alternative scenarios and management strategies; and
- assisting monitoring of resource health by
combining real-time data with resource management criteria.
The DSS does not
replace existing analytical tools and models.
Instead, it integrates existing data and tools in a single framework with
active participation and review by the resource specialists and modelers.
The system does not make decisions automatically; rather, it helps you
explore and evaluate different strategies by empowering you with fast and easy
access to the right data in the right way.
