resource management:

integrated approach

There is a growing consensus that we need a comprehensive natural resource management approach to meet these challenges.  Humans are no longer independent from the natural system, but are dependent on a globally interconnected ecosystem where everything is connected to everything else.  Therefore, our resource management decision-making process involves a diverse set of scientific, engineering, institutional, business, social, economic, and policy issues.  Therefore, the solutions need to be consensus-based, affordable, equitable, implementable, and sustainable.

At WRIME, Inc., we work with our clients to determine the best approach for their project and deliver the project accordingly.  We understand that there are no such solutions as one-approach-fits-all; different types of problems need different types of solutions, as depicted in the “Solution Wheel” shown on the right.

Our experience shows that an acceptable, affordable, and implementable resource management plan often requires a creative and integrated approach based on the following three principles:

Integration:  Conduct analysis from a multi-resource and multi-disciplinary viewpoint.

Collaboration:  Employ a participatory process that includes all affected interests.

Resource Stewardship:  Address resource management challenges by finding responsible and responsive course of actions.

At WRIME, Inc., we work with you to determine how these principles can be put into practice,  To know more about this, please click in the link below:
